… Mini France in KL.

I have never been to this area, ever before. Never imagined myself to step my foot into this area or nearby, since this is not the place for me. Not meant for me, I could say in short.

But the whole idea of writing this piece is to actually tells everyone that I found this unordinary thing as interesting as it could be one day, planned by that personnel-in charge of the place.

The Zongshan Building at Kampung Attap, is the name of the place.

The lovely story of this is also on how creative some Malaysians are in turning this old place to a hipster kinda place, with many potential attractive shops within a single block of the building.

Al-kisah cerita, sebenarnya kakak terjebak dengan kejadian ini sebab diminta buat liputan mengenai perasmian Institut Pondok Perancis, a Malaysia-based France research centre in the city centre.

The main signboard

Datang awal dan bermulalah kakak menjelajah kawasan.

Snap here and there is a must. Memang sekarang, ke mana sahaja pergi .. kepala otak sudah ada mindset abadi tertanam akan snap whatever potential good shots that can be utilised later on.

From the picture above, tertanya-tanya jugalah; “Has everything set up? Looks like it but seems not like it, either”.

Such a cool place and very newly-revived!

Bila berborak dengan those who were there, especially in that mini comfort coffee house called @piupiupiu.kl, the place where attendees of the event are welcomed to have their cup of coffee on that day, this Zongshan building will soon booming to be known as best spot for youngsters to hang out and do many other cool activities or gatherings.

There is an art place too in the building

The leisure and pleasure

Starting to love the ambience deeply, tangan mulalah galak merakam gambar. Because the place is very much hipster like that, I found that for every single thing displayed within the building was also cool enough to be featured here.

So as the main agenda I was there is to report on the event, I met few acquaintances from the embassy and chat as usual. Observing everything that I think sufficient for my news write-up, I rest easy knowing that it’s going to be an easy feel-good story only after all.

From my very own perspective, terfikir satu hal yang sukalah akal ini hendak berfungsi macam gaya seorang reporter. This place where Zongshan building located is not even popular and known as top, must-visit place when you’re in Kuala Lumpur.

But this bunch of foreigners and few creative Malaysians successfully found this place and decided to make it even a place where people can gather and build up networks, to do research.

Dalam erti kata lain, kakak yang asal sejati orang Kuala Lumpur pun tidaklah pula tahu kewujudan tempat ini .. what more to discover this place and has the desire to revive it to a fun place. But these people DID! Malu sekejapan rasanya.

Malaysians who have resided in France, learnt and worked in the famous-romantic city .. kesemuanya berkumpul dengan satu niat yang murni iaitu to explore more potential areas that haven’t been publicised yet as research subjects.

The integration is now taking place as this Pondok will definitely support their main research centre in Bangkok called IRASEC.

The bunch of people who believes Malaysia-France relation could brings more positivity to the world

Begitu juga sebaliknya, in which I find it hard nowadays to even hear one good thing about Malaysia, spoken by even the Malaysians.

Daripada subject matter that touches on how good Malaysia’s Islamic finance is sehinggalah kepada kesederhanaan dan harmoninya kehidupan masyarakat Islam di Perancis itu bagaimana gambarannya sebenar, kakak rasa terpanggil sangat untuk hangout with these people for more good writeups in the future.

Sejenis mudah terinspirasi memang begini!

That’s about Zongshan building and its stories in one single day.

Semoga ada manfaat lain yang kakak boleh hebahkan kepada umum on how beauty positivity can do to you.

Thus this kind of assignment with good, honest feelings I felt on that day adalah sejenis dambaan yang terlalu terabai, dan perlu ada kebangkitan semula.

Geng #mudahterhibur memang begini!

I am sure that I will definitely coming back to this cool place, with friends of mine. Geng #kopimengopi kenalah dibawa bersama!

A gift that I admire most whenever attended any assignments.
